Ankie Li investigates religions, languages and human behavior through interactive artwork and installations. These are often made from elements found in everyday contemporary objects and carry classical philosophy contents. Her piece, Confused Book causes the viewer to take a fresh look at the Bible and contemporary material language. Creating a roll of the Bible, it comes out by viewers pressing the paper dispenser, more content will appear which will cause the previous material to overlap or become lost. The audience is allowed to leave their comments. With this collaborative approach, a permanent link is created between artist and viewer, culminating in a “limited edition religion”.
